“Queen Jane Approximately” - Bob Dylan
I’m not really sure what bearing this song has on anything right now, but it feels super applicable. Dylan’s lyrics are notoriously nonsensical, but maybe it’s that aspect that has always made Highway 61 Revisited such an enticing album for me when I’ve been confused. Dylan doesn’t quite know what’s going on, but he knows the emotions he’s feeling and that’s enough for him.
As much as I’ve resisted using Jim & Pam analogies for most of my life, I can’t deny it anymore: This situation is epitomizing Jim & Pam, and it stings every time I think about it. Just my luck.
