Although I’m pretty awesomely mediocre at the guitar, despite the near decade I’ve been playing it, I really find it to be one of the most joy producing things in my life.
There’s nothing like sitting down and being able to play the chords (and sing, I do that too, apparently) to a favorite song, old or new. I love the feeling of knowing that my favorite guitarists have played some of the licks I’m learning, and as my skill level has marginally grown in college I’ve had that happen more and more often.
The past couple days? The Zeppelin classic “Ramble On.” Mr. Page has been here, and now I’m carrying the torch.
